How AI Might Raise the Quality of Education at BCA for Brown Bears
Minister and CEO William Jackson

Speaker and Contributor L&D Africa (Nairobi, Kenya)
Co-founder L&D Nexus (UK & UAE)
Taking a thoughtful exploration of how AI can help
bridge cultural, gender, and generational divides to
build a stronger educational model for youth, teens
and young adults at BCA. Providing quotes attributed
to Min & CEO Jackson and verified quotes from
CEO Jensen Huang, to frame the argument for the
use of AI in elementary education. Like other schools
facing educational divides: may lack physical
infrastructure, qualified teachers, and digital
connectivity; urban areas may struggle with
inequalities of access, and social challenges. These
must not stop learning using digital tools for youth,
teens and young adults.
Jackson the STEAM teacher for Becoming Collegiate
Academy in Jacksonville, Florida states from his
experiences of over 30 years,
“When students learn together with peers on the
same metaverse classroom, they discover that their
ideas matter equally; that diversity of experiences
strengthens learning.”
AI has the potential to address many learning gaps,
and to bring boys and girls from diverse backgrounds
together in the shared pursuit of technology knowledge
and business enterprises. The ability to empower the
youngest members of society is important for any
nation to grow and sustain itself for the future.
Jackson shares that AI powered tutoring systems,
adaptive learning platforms, hands-on project based
learning and localized digital content can reach and
teach. Tailoring instruction to students’ that lack access
and desire to learn more. AI can help address cultural
contexts to be more inclusive and interactive.
In urban underprivileged neighborhoods, tools can
supplement under-resourced schools, leveling the playing
field by helping marginalized (Black and Hispanic) communities
to feel connected to the growing communities. By diagnosing
individual learning gaps, AI can help avoid one‐size‐fits‐all
instruction, increasing the learning retention and growth
of students. Teachers can build the confidence
especially for girls who might otherwise be discouraged.
Virtual collaboration tools, like Augmented Reality (AR),
Virtual Classrooms, peer-mentoring platforms can connect
students across cultural, gender, and class lines. Boys and
girls from different states or backgrounds can co-learn,
co-collaborate, co-coordinate business skills, entrepreneurship
desires and projects. These shared spaces encourage
understanding, and build social capital.
Jackson shares that AI when applied correctly has the potential
to dismantle generational and equity barriers and help include
all Black and Hispanic youth, teen and young adults to learn
equally and equitably. Educators can use AI to learn alongside
youth, to understand new tools and opportunities, enhancing
trust and mutual respect. Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA,
captures this promise:
“I believe that artificial intelligence is the technology industry’s
single greatest contribution to social elevation, to lift all of
the people that have historically been left behind … ” Barron’s
Jackson, CEO of MetaverseWP and My Quest To Teach, has
stated that, “AI isn’t just about delivering content, it’s about
building community, building trust, establishing knowledge
leaders and intellectuals that have a heart and love for all people.”
The works in teaching BCA students now how to apply, use,
can create using AI is important to their growth and development educationally, socially, economically and in business.
Jackson is a father, grandfather, godfather and mentor, his
comments encourage the growth of girls in STEAM, AI, VR,
Metaverse and applying The Arts. “Girls who once hesitated
to speak in mixed groups find AI-mediated communities safe.
They begin to appreciate perspectives from other girls
and women they never encountered. That mutual respect
becomes the foundation of real equality in education and
entrepreneurship.”
AI can raise educational quality, create quality in instruction,
influence the mental and cognitive growth of girls and boys.
Importantly, AI tools provide literal bridges so that knowledge,
opportunity, and mutual understanding flow.

How Learning Needs to be Different for Title One Students

21st century education should be different
from traditional educational models. Students
since the pandemic have changed as well and
Title One students need transformative leaning
opportunities that address their learning styles,
challenges, strengths and even addresses their
weaknesses. Communication with students and
parents is vitally important.
Education should no longer be restricted to
classrooms and books. There needs to be learning
that is prompted to students to focus more on creativity
and innovation.
This change in the learning pattern makes students
understand and enables them to apply more self-confidence,
self-awareness these learnings are primarily based on
STEAM. There are many benefits of this modern educational
approach to empower and inspire Title One students to get
them to understand what makes it unique to their education
structure.
Traditional education, learning and memorizing, STEAM
Education is about learning, inspiration, imagination,
creativity and innovation.
Implementing the knowledge gained in school and applying
to real life. In the creativity and innovation method of
learning, the focus is on Science, Technology, Engineering,
Arts, and Math. Still while getting students to learn about
a wide spectrum of subjects in traditional education.
The traditional method of education has a predefined
structure of teaching strategies following a set of rules
and policies. At the same time, the modern method is
directed towards stimulating the brain to comprehend
things in a unique way, different from the one already
known and even reinforced by old policies that forget
the creative nature of students
thinking and comprehension.
STEAM education embraces innovation and flexibility
and extends learning beyond physical boundaries and
classroom limitations. It encourages experiential learning
with project-based and hands-on learning opportunities.
STEAM teaching can be more engaging and stimulating,
and it can help students develop a deeper understanding
of themselves, their strengths and their creativity that
can motivate them even more. Education can apply
technologies like Augmented Reality or Virtual Reality
and often help classrooms to improve interaction and
creativity of students.
It introduces students to technology at an early age
in the traditional method of learning and blending
with worksheets, videos and hands-on projects.
Students learn all subjects blended, due to which they
don’t know how the concepts can be applied to
real-world problems. Traditional methods of
learning rely entirely on what is written in textbooks,
theory and policies that do not cater to learning
challenges and culture differences.
Each have their place in the process, but may not
fill the gaps students fall through the cracks of
traditional models especially when dealing with
Title One and Special Needs students. Students
need visualization what affects them more and
helps to engage that triggers memory and remembering.
When we experience a story in the movie, it’s hard to
forget that 21st-century education aims to prepare
students for the uncertainties of tomorrow. Providing
skills such as adaptability, creativity, and critical thinking
these are very important for success in an ever-changing
global landscape.
Modern and technological teaching is a more student
centered approach. It emphasizes active learning,
project-based where students are encouraged to explore
and discover information for themselves. Focus on critical
thinking and problem-solving skills, and students
are often rewarded for their creativity and innovation.
Curriculum is based on an interdisciplinary approach where
subjects are not learned in isolation, but incorporate the
world around students.

STEAM learning is based on learning concepts by doing
them practically instead of reading them from books.
Books are used, but usually digital and immersive this
learning by doing makes students understand concepts
or foundations strongly and emphasizes bridging the
learning gap.
It focuses on making kids active learners instead of
passive listeners. STEAM Education is a modification
from traditional education to critical, logical, and
project-based learning.
Becoming Collegiate Academy is opening the minds of
students to unlimited potential to learning new concepts
that build critical and transformative thinking where
education is not just memorization but application,
integration, innovation and imagination.
