In my 3 decades of teaching in elementary and higher
education there has not been a time when so much has
evolved with tech as much as with AI, VR, IoT, and
Metaverse.

There are multiple reasons why Africans need to
understand how many areas of tech works and can
be used for developing for future careers. The
transformation and evolution is here. Industry experts
like CEO Jensen Huang and Dr. Kai Fu Lee both share
that coding, programming, are not dead, but there
is a need for understanding that “data is the new oil,”
and this is what AI and VR feeds ferociously “Data.”

Indigenous Youth In Africa
Indigenous Youth and Teens In Africa are
Awesomely Creative and Intelligent.

The increased virtual interaction during the pandemic,
people had to rely more on virtual interaction to stay
connected. The metaverse provides a platform for virtual
interaction where people could build their own avatars.
African youth and teens stayed connected with others
from different parts of the continent by building their avatars
that represented them culturally, ethnically and creativity.

The emergence of virtual economies allowed AI and Metaverse
to provide a platform for virtual economies to thrive. Africans
learned how to participate in these virtual economies, which
can lead to future career opportunities in areas such as virtual
real estate, gaming, digital marketing and tracking agricultural
geography that allowed for profound changes in how crops
were grown and people interacted with crops and ecosystems.

Africa Digital
Africa Digital Growth and Development

Growth of the gaming industry allow for gamification
where “play” has changed growing rapidly, and the
metaverse is expected to play a significant role in its
growth. Africans learn how to develop games, create
virtual environments, build digital music and design
interactive experiences. All these elements have been
transferred into education, military trainings and even
virtual training for African astronauts. Future career
opportunities in the gaming industry can influence
that training of humans in dangerous situations where
they work with robots.

an example of how AI and Metaverse can be
blended for the benefits of African learning and
engagement https://tinyurl.com/yc2h5cmb

The movie industry is highly influenced by movies like
Star Wars, Avatar, Star Trek and more. Instead of building
sets by hand and with traditional tools now environments
are made digitally that can expand the realism of “actors.”
Expansion of virtual education forced many schools to adopt
virtual education and using virtual reality, the trend is expected
to continue into the future. Africans can learn how to create
virtual classrooms, virtual environments and design educational
games that can meet the needs of individual and academically
challenged students.

Digital Jobs Globally

Understanding how the metaverse works and
can be used for future careers can provide
Africans with new and innovative ways to
connect with others, learn, and work across a
continent with global influences.

Understanding the increasing Importance of technology
is becoming an integral part of African lives, understanding
how the metaverse works is essential for African youth
and teens to keep up with the fast-paced technological
advancements in the world. The metaverse is expected to
create new job opportunities in fields, such as virtual
reality in agriculture, medicine, gaming, and digital marketing.

of AI works, African youth and teens can equip
themselves with the necessary skills to take
advantage of new career opportunities or build their own
careers as entrepreneurs.

New terms like “Continental Globalization” the metaverse
provides a platform for people from different parts of the
African continent to connect and interact in a virtual
environment. Understanding how the metaverse works can
help African youth and teens communicate and collaborate
with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, promoting
continental unity, collaboration and globalized perspectives
of the world.
