3 decades of educational leadership and teaching
students mostly in elementary education. Jackson
is the STEAM teacher at Becoming Collegiate
Academy and a former educator with Edward Waters
College, now a university. A former NASA educator
during the late 1990’s teaching in the program,
Re-certification Education Program. A partnership
that was between EWC (now EWU) where Jackson
was the lead teacher. In helping Duval County
Public School teachers integrate tech on a fundamental
level to use in their classrooms applying diverse
productivity tools.

This was a 4-year program that was designed to build
digital leaders with teachers in Duval County Public
Schools. The entrance into the digital age with tech
was at time challenging and complicated because of
the lack of educational and technological leaders
and critical thinkers that were veteran teachers like
Jackson who had experiences from working in the
Florida Department of Education as a FIRNTEC.

Florida Information Resource Network Educational
Consultant. Jackson was also a professor at EWC from
2004 to 2017 in multiple areas and created the colleges
firs Educational Technology Program from is Masters
level courses when he attended Webster University
(Jacksonville, Florida) campus.

This background in elementary education and higher
education allows for the foundation that is being made
at Becoming Collegiate Academy where Jackson is the
lead STEAM educator and integration AI Artificial
Intelligence, VR Virtual Reality and IoT or the Internet
of Things.
Jackson outlines how Becoming Collegiate Academy is
preparing its students for a new space age through a
rigorous focus on STEAM education and blending Artificial
Intelligence. As NASA shifts its mission from temporary
visits to establishing permanent habitats on the Moon
and Mars, the school aims to equip “Brown Bears” with
the critical thinking and technical skills required for
future careers that will be available. Offering new and
rewarding opportunities for leadership, technological
integration, space travel and colonizing on the Moon
and Mars.

Modern space exploration demands a diverse range
of professionals, including space architects, biologists,
agriculturalists, engineers, farmers, and other careers
that allow for space travel and AI ethicists, rather than
just pilots.

By mastering and growing in these disciplines, BCA
students can develop the innovative mindset necessary
to manage autonomous systems and solve complex
problems in extraterrestrial environments. The school
serves as a launchpad for future leaders who will design,
build, and govern the expanding lunar and Martian
economies.

The new director of NASA Jared Isaacman has been
confirmed as the new NASA administrator, marking
a significant leadership change for the space agency.
Administrator Isaacman has a vision for the future
that includes space travels that continue in a new
direction from the 1960’s and 1970’s. The space era
continues with new broad perspective that allows
for inclusion, exploration, discovery and leadership
that Becoming Collegiate Academy students may excel
in as the mature in the educational pursuits and are
learning the basics at the elementary level.
