Chancellor Jackson shares his excitement with the
2025 African and National Youth Day and Festival,
to be held from November 27 to 28, 2025, in Abuja,
Nigeria. A continental celebration of the energy,
innovation, and vision of Africa’s young people.
Minister Jackson celebrates his background being
88% African after submitting for a DNA testing by
Ancestry.com and finding out the phenomenal results.

Africa is the youngest continent of the world with
the average ages of 16 to 30. This is significant
because of the opportunities for educational
advancement and business development. Africa will
need to rely on its younger generations to support
economic and educational changes necessary in the
coming decades of growth and digital innovation.
This year’s theme, “From Aspiration to Action:
Youth as Agents of Reparative Justice and Sustainable
Development,” underscores the pivotal role of youth
in shaping a more equitable and sustainable future
for Africa.

African Youth Day 2025 will be celebrated on November
27-28, 2025, in Abuja, Nigeria. This event marks two
decades since the adoption of the African Youth
Charter, which emphasizes the rights of youth to
education, work, and participation in civic events.
The celebrations will include various activities
aimed at empowering and engaging the youth across
the continent. MetaverseWP and My Quest To Teach

Africa’s youth are not merely the leaders of
tomorrow, they are the innovators, creators, and
changemakers of today and tomorrow. With over 60%
of Africa’s population under the age of 25, the
continent’s greatest resource is not beneath its
soil, but within its people. The “Soil and Soul”
as Minister Jackson refers to the African destiny
of greatness. The African Youth Day Festival
serves as a catalyst for empowerment, inclusion,
and collaboration, bringing together young leaders,
educators, entrepreneurs, and artists to reimagine
Africa’s development through justice, technology,
and unity.

This year’s event will include workshops, exhibitions,
panel discussions, and performances, all designed to
amplify the voices and talents of young Africans. To
share the broad and far-reaching talents, skills and
abilities of the billions of youths, teens and young
adults across the second largest continent.

One of the anticipated highlights will be the AI
Virtual Workshops hosted by MetaverseWP and My Quest
To Teach which will explore how Artificial Intelligence
can drive education, entrepreneurship, and digital
literacy among African youth.

Continental celebrations call for youth to move
beyond dreams into purposeful action transforming
aspirations into tangible outcomes. The great
celebration embodies the spirit of a new Africa,
where innovation meets integrity, and were the
next generation is equipped not only to participate
in global conversations but to lead them.

Africa Youth Day 2025 is not just a commemoration
it is a declaration that the future belongs to a
generation determined to build, heal, develop,
create, innovate and imagine a new Africa.
Advancing the continent with courage, imagination
and a continued move to freedom and continental
sovereignty.
