The infusion of AI Artificial Intelligence in many aspects
of human life will influence education, employment,
business, entrepreneurialism and even the simple ways
of life in the next few years. AI can be found in our
computers from tablets, to laptops, desktops, Smartphones,
televisions. The electronics in watches, planes, cars,
motorcycles and other devices that have a microprocessor
chip (the brain of the computer) to function.

The processing of AI will allow these devices and more to
think, reason and in some cases, understand and help
Latin American communities. AI amplifies a growth engine
where AI learns from humans but has no emotional
attachments. The danger is relying totally on AI, these
are tools to assist.
The importance of understanding the effects of the
brain of computer is on average most cars have up to
20 microprocessor chips in them that manage every
aspect of the car from engine management, fuel
consumptions, brakes, air conditioning and heating,
speed regulation, safety of the passengers in accidents
and even the inflation of the air in tires.
The brain is thinking, it makes decisions based on the
events. AI experts are stating that AI will ultimately run
the world, robots will manage humans and take human
jobs. Movies like Terminator, Matrix, Blade Runner, West
World, Looper and others shows the not so nice side
of technology and robotic innovation. The movies
make predictions, but in real life AI is helping humans
in its decision making.
There are educators like Professor and CEO William Jackson
(United States), Professor Seyling Diaz (Nicaragua) and Chinese
Entrepreneur Dr. Kai-Fu Lee who see another direction, a
direction of success, collaboration, cooperation, unity, creativity,
innovation and imagination. The belief that AI can be a positive
force in helping humans grow beyond mental and physical
limitations.
STEAM+M, AI, VR, and Metaverse teacher for over 30 years,
I earned Virtual Reality Certification in 2022 with my wife.
I agree with Dr. Lee in his visions of the future with the
advancement of AI. Latin America is at the beginning
of its journey into AI, VR, and STEAM.
Past workshops held in Managua at the WordPress Youth and Teen Workshop in July 2024 provided by a team of educators, business owners, entrepreneurs and WordPress experts show that Latin American students are ready, willing and able to learn AI and more. The curriculum created by William and Aida Jackson brings to light areas of new learning and how that learning can inspire, encourage and empower the high school and university students attending.

How hands-on learning and project-based learning can help
bring knowledge to another level for Latin American students.
Parents need to be able to expose their children to new levels
and areas of understanding and comprehension because the
future in Latin America is Technology from many perspectives.
Professor Seyling Diaz, in collaboration with William Jackson
have provided opportunities for students to build in the
metaverse, to create Avatars that can collaborate, connect,
create and inspire learning with hands-on project-based
developments. Students can use their imagination and
creativity to prepare for future careers that are not here
yet, but coming soon.
If Central, South America and Mexica youth, teens and young
adults are not properly prepared for the coming digital jobs
they will be under employed, in low paying jobs or even
unemployable to be ready and able to work. The language of
technology is English and Latin American workers that want
these higher paying jobs and the leadership roles that come
with them must learn English because the language of
business, technology, finance and money is English.
Dr. Lee shares that AI can do so much to expand the thinking of
humans and inspire continued learning. AI can understand languages,
direct vehicles to drive and do things that humans can do and things
humans cannot do.
In the interview “Growth Minds,” Dr. Lee shares that Brain Science
is still a new science that needs more study to really understand
how the human brain works. AI technologies have been around
since the 1950’s but until the early 2000’s have been able to be
applied to machine intelligence and integration.
In the future career decisions AI Engineers will earn more
than because of the growth that is rapid and scalable to
new technologies.
Even though America and China are competing with each
other Latin America can be part of the research and
development of the ecosystems that are being created
with AI. Dr. Lee encourages other nations that are interested
like those in Latin America to start now teaching youth,
teens and young adults how to collaborate with each other
and blend knowledge and experiences to build entrepreneurs
to build companies in these areas.

A key point is the youth and teens, especially in Latin America
must see business owners that look like them and building
successful businesses in technology. Mentorship is important
where LATAM needs more mentors from men and women that
will go into schools and speak about business ownership,
entrepreneurialism and how to build a culture that Dr. Lee states,
“that information is the new oil.”
The world is in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, AI,
Automation, VR, Metaverse, IOT or Internet of Things,
Latin America to be competitive needs to embrace these
areas and change the educational and business structure to
support the next generations to understand the data that is
being created across the internet. AI will take some jobs,
but if Latin America can teach skills-sets that allow for
collaboration, connection and cooperation with the use of
technology to make adjustment that help create other jobs
and wealth for those in poverty.
The book, “In a World Full of Robots,” by Dr. Lee shows that
robots can be of service in areas not thought about before.
Latin America is on the edge of incorporating new technologies
like WordPress, the building of Metaverse sites for businesses,
schools and governments. MetaverseWP is offering affordable
Metaverse sites for its schools, educational centers.
Latin America cannot afford to wait for tech to make changes,
need to be proactive and have a vision that is global, scalable
and of a business mind-set. New terms, “job re-allocated” are
coming into use when people are replaced by AI are able to be
re-trained and reassigned to new jobs. Stated by Dr. Lee that,
this is becoming a new way to make sure people are employed
and engaged.
