WordCamp Managua, Nicaragua 2023 and WordCamp San Jose, Costa Rica 2023 are a continuation of learning that is empowering Central American youth, teens, and young adults. Empowering youth to see their future as technologists and seeing a better future with the integration of technology knowledge gained from participating in WordCamp conferences
across Central America. WordCamp conferences have been held in Costa Rica, Nicaragua,
and Panama, Costa Rica has the largest attendance, but the others are equally respected and attended. Initially WordCamps are for adults, the realization of keeping the conference impactful and progressive, there needed to be a mission to include the youngest audiences from ages 8 (sometimes younger) to 17. Central America is becoming a technology hub and center for technological innovation, development, and advancements.
The growing digital landscapes are evolving at an unprecedented pace, Central American youth have a tremendous opportunity to harness the power of technology for personal growth and community development. The great potential for Central America are WordCamp conferences that have been happening since 2020 and growing in influence.
Designed to empower individuals through knowledge sharing, networking, and skill development, WordCamp offers a unique chance for Central American youth and teens to expand their horizons and contribute to the Central and South American digital community.
